By partnering with Lee Stafford Education, East Durham College’s hairdressing students will be at the very forefront of the industry, learning the latest trends and styles, as well as benefiting from the mentorship, passion and experience of Lee, a highly successful stylist.

East Durham College principal Suzanne Duncan is thrilled with the new partnership with the Lee Stafford Academy and the opportunities it offers for students. Suzanne said:

“There’s never been a more exciting time to be a hairdresser in the North East. Our hairdressing courses have always been highly popular, and we wanted to expand the exceptional training we already give our students even further, in order to increase their employability.

“The new partnership means our students from the Lee Stafford Academy at East Durham College will be among the most employable in the region, thanks to the cutting-edge tuition and brand recognition that working with a stylist such as Lee provides.”

On the Level 2 hairdressing course, students will be taught by EDC’s leading teaching professionals, following a selection of carefully crafted hair ‘recipes’ provided by Lee Stafford Education. Students are provided with full recipe books and videos created by Lee, which complement the teaching at the college.

“We cannot wait to launch the new Lee Stafford Academy here at EDC.

“We’ve always been extremely proud of the talent of our hairdressing tutors, and to further expand the experiences of both staff and students with the opportunities the Lee Stafford Academy provides is a very exciting prospect. The future is incredibly bright for school leavers and adults looking to study hairdressing in our region – and the Lee Stafford Academy will give students more opportunities than ever before.”

From his early days cutting hair in his mother’s dining room, Lee Stafford has gone on to be one of Britain’s most successful, multi award winning hairdressers. Always with a passion for education, Lee has managed to find the time to teach thousands of other hairdressers all over the world in his renowned seminars and shows that sell out globally.
