One of my favourite looks from this year’s Brit Awards came from the gorgeous Olivia Rodrigo. She paired her long, luscious looking locks with texture for the occasion and looked simply stunning. These mermaid like, loose waves, are super on trend this year and are perfect for client’s who are looking for a more effortless hair look.
When creating a hair look like this it’s key to ensure the hair looks as healthy as possible prior to styling. I always start by washing the hair with ALTERNA Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner to give the hair added moisture and shine. I then like to use the ALTERNA Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Leave In Smoothing Gelee prior to styling to further condition the hair, give it definition and shine and to get rid of frizz. One the hair has been blow-dried, I used heated styling irons to loosely tong the hair, taking small sections and not leaving the heated styling irons on the hair too long to help create a softer wave.
